Structural calculation packages, set out the way an engineer checks them.
CalcPhase builds the calculation package for a UK project: each element designed to the Eurocodes with the UK National Annexes (and, where they apply, NHBC Standards and BS 6031), every step shown with its clause, and the package paged and ready for checking.
What it covers
- Steel, timber and masonryBeams, posts, goalpost and box frames, joists, padstones and walls.
- Foundations and loadsLoad takedowns, strip, trench fill and pad footings, and foundations near trees.
- Basements, retaining walls and slopesWall stems and bases, slabs and flotation, underpins, embedded walls, pile sections and slope stability.
How it is checked
- Every module tested against a separate calculationEach calculation is checked against a separately written step-by-step calculation, in at least three cases per module, and against published worked examples or other software where that has been done so far.
- Drafts until an engineer approves themEvery sheet is marked as a draft, not checked or approved, until an engineer signs it off; anything that needs a judgement is flagged, never hidden.
